Squash the Chaos
Volume 1, Number 4
Bonjour, so glad you’re here.
Hoping your week was full of fun adventures, mine sure was!
I had an enjoyable week with a few victories. Unfortunately, I had to go to the local courthouse to contest a ticket, but I was thrilled when my case was dismissed! :) At work, we worked on many exciting projects and I met many new fun friends. I made pico de gallo for a church potluck, which was part of a nacho bar, and it was a huge hit. Everyone loved it, and the recipe will be shared on makinglifelovley.com soon. I was also chosen for a super exciting project, and I can hardly believe that they picked me. I will share more details as soon as I know more.
The court course where my case was dismissed! Yippee! I love small towns!
A few of the fun things we made this week!

Weekly Focus
While pursuing my Bachelor's degree in web design and development, graphic design, and social media marketing, I came across a talk titled "Seek Ye First": Prophetic Counsel for Establishing Priorities in Our Lives” by C. Robert Line. In this talk, Mr. Line quotes Jeffrey R. Holland's discussion on the order of our priorities. It was an "Aha!" moment for me, especially as a working single mom who feels the weight of numerous demands. Do you feel the same way?
Here's the order that Elder Holland discussed, with a few tweaks that I made to suit my life. You can customize it to fit your life as well. I even created a little reminder for myself…
FUN REMINDER
For the past twenty years or more, I have always put my family first. While family is extremely important to me, I have neglected to take care of my own health, and I regret that now. Many other mothers have shared the same experience with me. One day, they wake up and realize they should have taken better care of themselves. If your health is suffering, you won't be able to take care of your family. That's why I decided to make a shift and prioritize my own needs. Although I am not perfect, it has been a game-changer in my life. This is what I want the core of Making Life Lovely to be about. While contemplating this, I realized that there are seven priorities and seven colors in the rainbow. So, I matched up each priority with its coordinating color in the rainbow. This has also been a game changer for me as I color-coordinated everything. There are times when I have to make a quick decision, and in my mind, I refer back to the order of my priorities. To learn more about this, you can read my post titled How to Live Your Best Life: The Importance of Prioritizing. I would love for you to check it out.
Yay, spring! We enjoyed several evening walks this week!
