Squash the Chaos

Volume 1, Number 5

Ciao, so glad you’re here.

"I am glad to see you. I hope you had a wonderful holiday weekend.

I have to admit, I've been feeling a bit down this week. Today, my family and I are moving into a new home, which is both exciting and nerve-wracking. My workplace has also been full of drama. However, I did have some fun wins this week, like an Instagram reel that got over 1,180 plays. When I told my kids about it, they asked how many likes I got, and I proudly replied three (I love how they keep me grounded). The strawberry truck came to town, and I can't wait for the peach and cherry trucks to come next.

Weekly Focus

This week has been a little strange for me. Today we are moving and it has been quite an adventure. My focus for the day is to keep going and never give up, even when things get difficult. I had the pleasure of meeting the coolest family this week. The daughter had brain cancer and had to undergo a major surgery. Despite all that, she is such a delightful and brave young girl. There's a fun video of her that you can watch here. It really put things into perspective for me. Our challenges are meant for us specifically, and when I meet someone like Phoebe, I feel that maybe I have it pretty good.

So no matter how difficult never give up.

Monthly Challenge

I am changing things up a bit since it is April 1st. I thought I would include a monthly challenge. It is suggested walking for 30 minutes a day is super good for you. According to this article titled “Walking for Good Health” by the Better Health Channel there are several reasons why…

Health benefits of walking

You carry your own body weight when you walk. This is known as weight-bearing exercise. Some of the benefits include:

  • increased cardiovascular and pulmonary (heart and lung) fitness

  • reduced risk of heart disease and stroke

  • improved management of conditions such as hypertension (high blood pressure), high cholesterol, joint and muscular pain or stiffness, and diabetes

  • stronger bones and improved balance

  • increased muscle strength and endurance

  • reduced body fat.

The full article contains a lot of useful tips and information. You can access the article through this link.

This month's challenge is to set a walking goal. You can start by setting a small goal, such as walking around the block, walking for 30 minutes, or even walking a mile or two. The best advice I can give you is to start small and be consistent.

That wraps it up for this week…

I recently read Expert Secrets by Russell Brunson and came across an excerpt that really struck a chord with me. It talks about the power of self-belief and how it can make all the difference. The message inspired me to work on self-improvement and I wanted to share it with you as a bonus!

I am wishing you a week full of happiness and love.
